Muiderslot is approximately a 20-minute drive from Amsterdam. Take the A1 motorway and follow the signs for exit 3 Muiden/Weesp.

Parking: There is a limited number of paid parking spaces near the castle, as well as several free options a short walk away. The P1 (Maxisweg), P2 (Mariahoeveweg), and P+R Muiden car parks are free and are a 15 to 30 minute walk from the castle.

Public transport is a convenient way to reach the castle from Amsterdam and other parts of the Netherlands.

Train: From Amsterdam Central Station, take a train to Weesp. From Weesp, you can take bus 110 to the Muiden Centrum stop, which is a 10-minute walk from the castle.

Bus: From Amsterdam Amstel Station, you can take bus 320 to the Muiden P+R Muiden stop. From there, it’s a 30-minute walk or a quick transfer to bus 110.

From May to October, the Amsterdam Tourist Ferry operates on weekends and during school holidays from the port of Amsterdam IJburg directly to Muiderslot Castle. Booking in advance is required.
